## Affiliate Reward Tiers & Referral Bonuses

To encourage community growth, you can earn extra LAM points by referring others. There are two ways you benefit:

### 1. Affiliate Earnings – Ongoing Percentage of Referees' LAM Points

As your number of successful referrals grows, so does the percentage of their earned LAM points you receive — without affecting their LAM points total.

**Example calculation:** Someone you referred earns 10,000 LAM points in a session. If you're in Tier 3 (15%), you'll receive: ROUND(10,000 \* 15 / 100) = 1,500 bonus LAM points

### 2. One-Time Referral Bonuses

You'll also receive fixed bonus LAM points at two key milestones for each person you refer:

You receive **20% of the bonus upfront** when your referral signs up, and the remaining **80% once your referee becomes Qualified** by completing 100 hours of training.

## Understanding Qualified Referrals

### What Makes a Referral "Qualified"

To progress through the Affiliate Tiers, it is not enough to simply have users sign up with your code. For a referral to count towards your tier ranking, the person you referred must become a **Qualified Referral** by completing **100 hours or more of training**.

This is straightforward to achieve: your referee simply needs to download the browser extension and leave background training enabled for a handful of days. It takes about 1 minute of effort to set up, and roughly 4 days of passive background training to reach the 100-hour threshold.

  **Why 100 Hours?** This threshold ensures that tier progression reflects genuine, active contributors to the Action Model ecosystem, not just signups. It rewards you for bringing in users who actually participate in training the LAM.

### How Qualified Referrals Affect Your Tier

Your tier is determined by the number of **Qualified Referrals** you have, not your total signup count. Referrals who have signed up but not yet completed 100 hours are considered "pending" and do not count toward your tier.

  **Example**: You refer 26 people to Action Model. However, only 10 of them have completed their 100 hours of training so far. Your "Number of Referrals" for tier calculation is **10**, with **16 pending**. This means you remain in **Tier 2** (6-20 referrals, 10% bonus) rather than Tier 3, even though you have 26 total signups. You will advance to higher tiers as your pending referrals complete their 100 hours and become Qualified.

### Bonus Payment Structure

The one-time referral bonuses are distributed in two stages:

This structure ensures that you receive immediate reward for bringing new users, while the majority of the bonus is reserved for referrals who become active contributors to the ecosystem.
